Water

FM works with the entire University community to ensure our water conservation is ongoing and innovative, in line with the UNSW Water Savings Action Plan, 2007 and the general UNSW Environmental Policy Documents.

We achieve our main water savings through:

  • substitution of bore water for non potable uses
  • installation of water saving devices like timed flow taps, waterless urinals and dual flush cisterns
  • an active maintenance program of early detection and repair of faulty fixtures.
