UNSW has committed to the goal of 5 stars or better for new buildings and major refurbishments under the Green Building Council of Australia rating scheme.

The UNSW Green Buildings program supports this goal through the development and implementation of systems and guidelines for environmentally responsible planning, design, construction and operation of the University's built environment.
