UNSW outdoor spaces, conditions of use
- The use of the approved area is not to be transferred to another party.
- The application form must be signed by an authorised person from Arc/UNSW Sport and Recreation/Faculty/ School/ Department.
- If barbecues or other cooking equipment are being used, precautions must be taken to ensure paved/grassed areas are not damaged by fat, ie. a piece of plastic or cardboard should be placed under any cooking equipment.
- At the conclusion of the function, the area/faculty must be left in a clean and tidy condition with all rubbish placed in bins.
- The user must reimburse any additional costs incurred by the University in cleaning up after the function.
- A surety of $300 (paid by non-affiliated members) is usually required to be lodged with the application to cover the cost of any damages or additional cleaning resulting from the function.
Where alcohol is served and ANY fee is charged, the liquor license must be produced at the time the booking is made. - Action may be taken against the person responsible for the function if caught selling alcohol without a license, or if caught providing misleading information on the licensing form.
- A fine will be imposed if any furniture is removed from C.A.T.S rooms for functions.
- No stakes or spikes may be used on any outdoor area.
- The hirer must supply a Risk Assessment and have it approved before the booking will be accepted.
Any unauthorised function on campus will be immediately cancelled and the participants asked to leave.
