Barbecues

You must submit your application 10 days prior to the function.

During Semester, barbecues may only be held between 1.00pm and 2.00pm in authorised areas.

You may only set up from 12.30pm.

Applications for a barbecue outside of these hours are subject to approval by the FM Assist Manager.

Your application will only be assessed on completion of the following documentation:

• Outdoor Function Booking Form
• Barbecue Risk Assessment Form - The form must be signed by the person responsible for the event.
• You should also familiarise yourself with the document Outdoor Function - Conditions of use

Approval takes 3 working days and is emailed to the applicant prior to the event. You must then have the approved form available to be viewed on request by UNSW security staff at any time during the function.

The areas of Kensington Campus available for barbecues are:

• CLB Courtyard (E20)
• Globe Lawn (H17)
• John Lions Garden (K17)
• Library Square (south-west corner of Library lawn) (E21)
• Morven Brown Lawn (D19)
• Naked Lady Fountain lawn (behind Old Main Building) (J15)
• Physics Courtyard (Graham Russell) (K15)
• Physics Lawn (L13)
• Sam Cracknell (H8)
• Science Theatre Lawn (G13)
