Fleet Management

Fleet Management looks after:

• all Faculty/Department vehicles
• Novated Lease agreements for staff
• FM care hire service

Faculty/Department Vehicles

All vehicles used by the University are pool vehicles and will be provided under company operating leases which are fully maintained by LeasePlan.

Employees who are required to use faculty/department vehicles must treat the vehicle with same care and diligence as if the vehicle were owned by UNSW.

All vehicles will be acquired under lease as new vehicles through the Fleet Manager on extension 55497. All trailers, boats and selected plant equipment will be purchased and owned by UNSW, and managed by external fleet and vehicle management company, LeasePlan.

Novated Leases

UNSW offers fully maintained salary sacrifice vehicles (new or used) under a lease referred to as a Novated Lease. A Novated lease is a financial agreement made and held in the name of the employee.

A Novated lease is available to all full-time and part-time employees of UNSW. Fixed-term employees should consider carefully their employment prospects with UNSW before committing to any financial arrangement in relation to this program.

All staff applying for a Novated Lease must ensure to read Novation Leasing & Salary Packaging User Guide by downloading a copy from Forms and Document area.
