UNSW has decided to enter into a sale and lease back arrangement to consolidate and streamline the management of its motor vehicle fleet including plant vehicles to ensure:
- The vehicles provided are safe, reliable and meet the technological and environmental standards set by the University;
- A best value for money in the overall provision of service for both University operated vehicles and vehicles acquired by staff under salary sacrifice arrangements;
- Salary sacrifice arrangements for staff are wholly managed external to the University;
- The fleet management services meet ‘best practice’ scrutiny; and
- An innovative approach to meeting the objectives of the University in rationalising, renewing, maintaining and managing the University Fleet.
LeasePlan has been appointed as the Fleet Management organization effective from 1 April 2007.
