Security

The primary functions of UNSW Security are:

  • the protection of all people within the University including staff, students, contractors and visitors
  • the protection of property
  • the prevention and detection of crime.

Security Officers wear distinctive uniforms to make them readily identifiable.

The Security Department is comprised of four different areas of operation:

  • General Security and Patrols
  • Shuttle Buses
  • Security Systems (Access Control)
  • Unibeat Program
