Energy Management
The Energy Management Unit:
- develops energy and water policies
- purchases electricity and gas at the most competitive rates
- maximises the efficiency of energy and water consumption on campus
- prepares consumption and cost reports.
How UNSW manages its energy resources (whether purchased or existing) is vitally important and we have objectives to work towards in the following areas:
The Department initiates and funds a range of energy efficiency projects designed to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and position UNSW at the forefront of energy management initiatives in Australia.

Energy Management works closely with the Environment Unit and is, itself, comprised of two Units:
