ID CARDS
UNSW issues ID Cards to all Students, Staff and Contractors for the purposes of Identification, Electronic Building Access, Library Borrowing, to name a few of the increasing uses.
ID Cards are issued under a number of terms and are non-transferable.

STUDENT ACCESS
Faculties, Schools and Units allocate access to their buildings and rooms. You must apply to the Faculty, School or Unit Office directly.
If you are eligible for access, the person authorised by the Faculty will email or fax FM Assist with the details of your access.
You are not required to go to FM Assist, this will happen automatically once the staff have been notified. Should you lose your ID Card, there is a $11.00 replacement cost and you must fill in the following form and bring it in to FM Assist. This will take approximately 1 hour to process.

STAFF ACCESS
All staff must have their access authorised by designated persons in their Faculty/School/Unit. Access is generally authorised when a card is issued.
Additional Access is to be emailed or faxed by an authorised person directly to FM Assist. Attendance by an individual is not required.

Please note that this form must be printed, signed and approved by authorised signatory.
This form must be completed and presented at FM Assist for a Staff Card to be issued.
